I am delighted to introduce you to The Shires at
Stretton, a small residential special school set up by Hopscotch Solutions Ltd.
The Shires opened in September 2005 and has capacity for 11 residential and 5 non-residential
clients. The Shires as a home operates for 52 weeks a year and The Shires as a school across 50 weeks a year.
The directors have backgrounds in education
and commerce and include a former secondary
headteacher, leaders of successful companies and
school inspectors. The Shires' management team has
as its goal the creation of a centre of excellence
that provides the highest quality care and education
in the best possible environment.

The staff at The Shires have considerable
experience of working with, and caring for, young people who have autism
and severe learning disabilities. Their collective
experience and qualifications are impressive, and
enable us to set the very highest standards for
the care and education of the young men and women at
The Shires. Parents and placing authorities respect and value our staff's professionalism,
warmth and integrity and the way they strive to create a family-like ethos
and a homely atmosphere.
