Statement of Purpose
The Shires provides residential accommodation for 52 weeks of the year and is therefore classed as a children's home.
Children's homes have to be run in accordance with the Children's Home regulations. The regulations require that the home has a written statement which covers specific headings and describes the purpose, aims, and the way in which the children's home will be run. The document is known as the Statement of Purpose and all parents, staff and placing authorities are entitled to see a copy on request.
