Curriculum
The curriculum is broad and takes full account of the national curriculum programmes of study for KS3, KS4 and post 16 students. Activities are matched closely to the students’ needs as identified in their Individual Education Plan (IEPs), and there is a strong focus on the students learning through practical experience so that their learning has meaning.
The ALL curriculum (Accreditation for Life and Living) is mapped onto the National Curriculum for 14 – 19 year olds, and provides a real and meaningful context for the students' learning. Educational visits are a crucial and integral part of the curriculum as are regular, planned home management tasks. Students engage in regular phyiscal activity through weekly P.E. trampolining, swimming and practical horticulture studies at a local college.
