Home

We provide specialist residential care and education for young people aged 11 to 19 who have autism and severe learning disabilities.

The Shires Post 19 provision enables us to continue to meet the needs of adults up to the age of 65.

Our experience, training and qualifications enable us to set and maintain the very highest standards for working with and caring for the children and young adults with autism.

Parents and placing authorities respect and value our professionalism, warmth and integrity and the way we strive to create a family-like ethos and a homely atmosphere.

We are pleased to announce that in December 2010 The Shires joined the Acorn Care and Education group of schools and children's homes.
