Hedgehog news from Stretton

On the 7th of March Blue Class joined The Oakham School to meet a very special visitor. Barrow Hedgehog Rescue came to see us, and brought a spikey friend with them! Everyone gathered round and asked questions. The visitor told the students how to care for hedgehogs, what they like to eat and what we should do if we see a hedgehog in the wild. The students then took turns to stroke or hold the hedgehog, which they all appeared to thoroughly enjoy. The following week Blue Class helped to organise a fundraiser for the charity, and Oakham students visited! Everyone had fun selling Hedgehog Cakes, playing hedgehog games, face paint and competitions! Everyone managed to raise over £40 for the charity. Well done!
